Learning About Sin

We are learning Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” in children’s church. So far there have been great object lessons, skits, and teachings on this verse.

Sin is “missing the mark.” It’s disobeying God’s law and the authority that God has placed over us.

But, with God there is always hope! That hope is Jesus Christ, who died, so our sins could be washed away clean!

Below is a picture of how God views sin.

Jesus made the way for us to God. John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'”

We believe salvation is the most important lesson in life. Bring your children to learn more about the love of God!

A New Year, A New You!!!

Kids-Corner1The New Year is upon us and we all try to change for the better. This month we are teaching the kids about how they can become a new person in Christ. Showing them that is easy to become a new person and that God can help them through the year and in their life. There is no need to contiunue to be how you were last year, time to start fresh. The scripture that we are memorizing this month is 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone be in Christ he is a new creation, the old things are good, all things have become new”

August- Beware of Evil

Kids-Corner1What is evil? The dictionary states evil as morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked. This explains today’s generation and everything that is, so called fine, or cute. Kids go to school everyday and are put into situations that are evil. Movies and T.V shows are all about things in this world that are morally wrong. Even cartoons nowadays, have many adult themes in them, yet we laugh about it and think it is funny or cute. But we have to remember what it is says in the bible in 1 Thessalonians 5:22 ” Stay away from the appearance of evil.” This month we are teaching the kids about staying away from anything that is evil or looks evil. We need God’s help in this time and in this generation to raise righteous and Godly men and woman.
