Breaking Bad Through Jesus Christ

Cesar grew up on the streets of LA.

He was a young man with no direction in life other than the gangs that were rampant in his neighborhood. While he was in gangs, he was going to rob a store owned by the parents of his future wife. After meeting the girl, he told his friends he could not go through with plan. Soon after, he married Alicia.

On the night of their wedding they got drunk and fought.

The night of the wedding was just the beginning of a rocky marriage. They both were drunkards and ended up on drugs. Cesar could not change who he was and dragged Alicia into his lifestyle. They had four kids together and with every child they moved to different states, hoping their lives would change.

Cesar ran.

Cesar ran from city to city and state to state thinking his life would change with each change. However, he could not get free from the drugs and alcohol. He neglected his family, only caring about his next high. Every time Alicia would threaten to leave him, he would promise to stop his drug use. But, with each passing year things grew worse. He moved to Chandler, Arizona to escape a biker gang in Colorado he’d made angry.

They finally came to the end of their rope.

One night, Cesar was in anguish over his daughter’s boyfriend taking her from them. He told his sons to gather their weapons to kill the “fool that took his daughter.” By no small coincidence, Cesar’s neighbor invited him to a free concert that night and told him that Jesus could change his life. Looking into his life, Cesar decided he would go to the concert to see what this guy was talking about.

One prayer changed an entire family.

Cesar and his sons went to the concert. His heart was softened with each song, testimony, and drama skit. At the end of the concert, a man stood up and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When called to surrender, Cesar decided this would lead to his lasting change. He went to the altar and said a prayer of repentance and was instantly converted!

That night he gave up drugs and alcohol.

The power of Jesus Christ changed Cesar that night and he started to come church. There, he found true peace and joy. He was filled with the Holy Ghost and since has been testifying of the salvation of Christ! No program, no high has given him what Jesus gives him.

Him and his family have been serving God for over 5 years, soberly and with great joy!

We believe Jesus changes lives. We are The Door.

Lives Touched at Cinco De Mayo Celebration

WHEN THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED

We thank God for what He’s doing in Chandler! This past weekend we had a great time as we celebrated Cinco De Mayo and preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

On Saturday, we outreached to local neighborhoods and invited them to our events. That night, in our Xtreme Venue, we had a band from Mexico called Roca Fuerte. Visitors came out and 7 people give their lives to Jesus!

The following morning, we had a “full house” as Pastor Rick Martinez preached on the “False Promises of Sin.” Precious souls responded to the altar call and surrendered their lives to Jesus! Afterwards, many people stayed and fellowshipped with carne asada tacos, rice and beans!

Be sure to join us for our Native American Day and revival May 20th.

Thank you to all those who labored in cooking, setting up, and served. God has truly blessed your labors and they are not in vain!

Multitudes Saved in South Africa

Praise God for all He’s doing in South Africa, where Pastor Ortiz and Nicole are currently pastoring.

Recently they had New School Lighthouse from Chandler and were able to minister in the schools. At one school over 300 students heard the Gospel and 200 responded. They went to another school, where over 600 students came and over 400 responded to the altar call!

God is truly doing a great work there as Pastor Ortiz is seeing genuine conversions. One woman claimed she came into the church a Roman Catholic but stepped out a born-again believer!

Your prayers, your investments are making an impact in the cities of the earth! Continue to lift them up in prayer as they labor with fervency and dominion.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Impact Team from Houston to Shanghai

A FELLOWSHIP OF COMMITMENT

This year Pastor Adam and Beth Stephens roused the saints of the Katy, Texas congregation to “go ye.” They went on an impact team to Shanghai, China, where Pastor Paul and Deanna Alvarez are ministering.

The team had a tremendous time as they outreached and witnessed on the streets. Pastor Stephens preached for the Shangai church and saw many hearts respond. Praise God for a fellowship of brethren who are Committed to the Commission and each other!

Pastor Paul and Deanna Alvarez have been in China for just over a year and have seen God work through their lives. We currently, as a fellowship, have about 10 missionaries serving in Shanghai.

THE PRIVILEGE OF A LIFETIME

In 2013, the city accounted for 24 million people and is the largest city in the world. Daoism and Buddhism have the biggest following. However, your prayers and investments are not in vain as God is truly building His work in this great city.

Continue to pray for our baby works in Shanghai and Katy!

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Pastor Campbell in South Africa

The men being raised up in Mitchell’s Plain, Cape Town, South Africa.

Pastor Campbell, our senior pastor, flies all over the world to preach at our fellowship churches. We currently have over 2,500 churches and look forward to sending more!

Last Tuesday, Pastor flew to South Africa to preach for our work in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. The church is pastored by our former assistant pastor, Hector and his wife Nicole Ortiz and they are seeing a tremendous move of God.

An impact team went before Pastor Campbell and were able to minister in the schools through songs and testimonies.

Check back soon to see more pictures and read the report when Pastor Campbell returns!

Learning About Sin

We are learning Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” in children’s church. So far there have been great object lessons, skits, and teachings on this verse.

Sin is “missing the mark.” It’s disobeying God’s law and the authority that God has placed over us.

But, with God there is always hope! That hope is Jesus Christ, who died, so our sins could be washed away clean!

Below is a picture of how God views sin.

Jesus made the way for us to God. John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'”

We believe salvation is the most important lesson in life. Bring your children to learn more about the love of God!
